Tealicious Tearoom Durham

It was a lovely sunny albeit cold Saturday afternoon in Durham. Lucky enough to stumble upon the National Youth Orchestra playing in Durham Marketplace. Caught a few performances, firm favourite were the bassoons. They were very talented and oh what an adorable sight when you see their parents cheering them on.

The plan was to go for some cake! Well pleased that we stumbled into Tealicious, a quaint little teahouse on Elvet Bridge. Been on my ‘To Go’ list for quite a while as they are always buzzing with people. From the moment we stepped in, there was a lovely atmosphere. Family run: mum, dad, their 2 daughters and son. Their son, a smartly dressed little boy gave us a warm welcome and informed us about the specials of the day. I could not help but coo, he was very charming!

Their tea menu was extensive and will definitely delight any tea lover. Served in gorgeous fine bone china.

Yes, indeed. Scones, chocolate and meringue cake. Delicious 🙂

Tealicious made the sunny day truly enjoyable and would happily go back there!

Cannot wait for my next slice of cake. Perhaps, this weekend!

Happy Friday xxx
