Delilah Fine Foods Nottingham

Last weekend, I stepped into foodie heaven, Delilah’s for the first time and it definitely won’t be the last!

I had a lovely wander around the shop admiring the foodie products they had to offer. Our cookie mixes will be right at home at Delilah’s πŸ˜‰

Found a place at the bar and ordered CAKE and coffee. Here is one of their lovely staff slicing up my cake (all mine!)

It was AH-MAZING! I never had this combination ever, it was a rose & Turkish Delight cake. Loved the huge chunks of Turkish Delight on the cake.

Cannot wait for my next visit! Different cake this time or perhaps lunch.

8 days in!

8 days into 2014 and I am quite pleased with myself as I have documented more baking and cooking in pictures than ever before. I have to say ‘Thank you Instagram’ as it makes it so much easier with their filters. It always took quite a bit of effort when I had to time myself meticulously and only photograph our products or baked goodies when the light is good. UK weather and natural sunlight… one can only chuckle.

imageThis does exclude lunch and breakfast. One has done well eh? πŸ˜€ One has got to eat, therefore one has got to cook. Perhaps we shall eat out for the whole of next week πŸ˜€ I feel slightly exhausted now just looking at these pictures.

I made this Raspberry Dutch baby for breakfast a few days ago. It is a very simple and straightforward recipe. It looks fantastic and definitely one of the best ‘pancakes’ I have made πŸ™‚

Raspberry Dutch Baby with cream

This is just fabulous for breakfast or brunch as the batter is not sweet at all. Just ignore and forgive the dollop of cream I added to my Dutch Baby though πŸ™‚

Look at sneaky Momo the cat trying to get a whiff of my Dutch Baby. It is rather challenging to get a picture like this. Thankfully, I was armed with my camera in hand and managed to get this shot rather quickly before she was told off.

Hope you had a lovely first day in the new year πŸ™‚
