Pamson Grill Leicester

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into Pamson Grill located off London Road on Highfield Street. The restaurant had absolutely stunning interiors and was spacious, warm and inviting. Beautiful and comfortable, with a very family friendly ambience. They have a kids menu too which is extra fabulous for us as our child does not really eat spicy food. Ps. even black pepper is spicy for her! There was popcorn chicken, fish fingers or pasta for the child to choose from and she declared that their popcorn chicken was Deeeee-licious. I love that they made everything in house instead of some frozen food that they threw in the oven. Fresh popcorn chicken made to perfection for the little one.

Service was brilliant and the owner, Muhammed gave us very knowledgeable recommendations when we were going through their menu. They truly delivered when it came to their food (the most important thing when it comes to eating out) and gave our family a fantastic authentic Pakistani food experience. We were really impressed at the quality of the food, one bite and you can tell how fresh it is.

We are huge meat lovers so we were going to order the usual suspects to start : Lamb chops and Seekh Kebabs. They highly recommended we try a vegetarian starter called Papri Chaat. It was my first time trying this dish and the Chaat was excellent. The dish is prepared with chickpeas, potatoes and spices and it was like an explosion of flavours in your mouth. My husband thinks the lamb chops here are beyond amazing and he would definitely come back again just for them. They were marinated very well and served on a sizzler with fried onions and peppers.

Their starter portions were generous and I would have been happy to skip the mains and go straight to desserts but I was intrigued at what the mains would be like especially when the chef appears in front of you and starts whipping up your meal. My daughter was very amused and she loved the whole experience. The chef cooked their special dish called a Katakat in front of us. We tried their Chicken Tikka Katakat and it was an amazing curry like dish. Their Lamb Karahi was lush, with tender meat and served in a wok! As you probably know, we enjoy eating out and we frequent quite a number of Asian restaurants and I have to say the standard of food here is high and has a feel of a heartwarming homecooked meal.

We had an overdose of good Pakistani food at Pamson Grill and I would highly recommend this restaurant for an enjoyable and interesting meal out. We had 2 little ones in tow as always and the meal was still fun and relaxing. I bet we will be regular visitors from now on!

Jimmy’s Killer Prawns

We love eating out. We love eating. Fullstop. Our family eating adventures aka ‘restaurant hopping’ is still going strong although nowadays I never write about it anymore as life takes over and takeaway is too convenient when you have to juggle 2 kiddies BUT …

There’s a new kid in town that spurred me to write a post to share just how much our family enjoyed our meal there. They claim that their food is addictive and oh boy it truly was. I am a huge fan of their killer prawns. We went there over the weekend and we even ‘Deliveroo-ed’ them the following day. Eeks ( not very kind to the wallet ). It just goes to show how addictive it was.

There’s something for everyone and if you are not a fan of seafood, there’s always the chicken or meat option. Be warned though, their portions are ENORMOUS. The prices are slightly steep but when you share your meal, it works out to be pretty good value for what you get.

We went for a combo as the other half wanted to have a bit of steak too. It was all about the prawns for me! Ours was served with rice, fries and their trio of sauces. The garlic butter was divine.

The Prawns are served whole in their shells and with their heads intact. The marinade on them was lovely. Its messy but the best way to enjoy them is to suck on the outer shell as its just so juicy. Gosh, I cannot believe I just wrote that. The grilled prawns were on point and I would come back again and again for them.

IMG_3666.JPGKids meal. Our child adores prawns and she could have shared ours but we went for the spicy grilled prawns instead of the orignal flavour. Turns out, she loved it .. the spicy one. We did order her a kiddy meal though. Fried prawns with fries. She enjoys her food and its always a pleasure to watch her try a variety of food.

We also ordered a starter to share and the waitress recommended we try the Red Prawn soup. One of the best I’ve tasted in a while, thick, rich, spicy and plenty of prawns in there.

Not ready for food, oh little child but we bring you everywhere with us too.

Definitely worth a visit. Let me know what you think!

Family dining at Leicester’s Boo Burger.

I am going to share with you our experience dining at Boo Burgers on London Road. I have a huge soft spot for family-run eateries and this restaurant definitely did not disappoint.

When you step in, you will be totally amazed at the clear branding and bright interiors. I was impressed. Its all in the little details and oh boy, I sure loved Boo’s finer details. Things like the wordings on the cups, the font of the menu and even their refillable drink machine. I kept wanting to shout out at my husband, Hey Boo! I kid you not.

We dine with our toddler everywhere and this establishment is ultra kid friendly with their bright red high chairs and their special Boo.Kids menu. No stress and we get to enjoy our food in peace. She was definitely a happy Boo.Kid. Burger + fries + drink for £5! What a deal for the little ones and great job to the team for the comfortable and relaxed environment too.

Let’s get to the MOST important and crucial part when dining out (or in) .. the taste and the quality of the food. I will let the pictures speak for themselves BUT will you just LOOK at that shiny cheese. Their cheesy fries takes the cake for me. It was so good, I LOVED it. Reasonably priced at £3 too. We also tried their Sticky as well as Buffalo Wings. The wings were on point, I preferred the Sticky and the husband enjoyed the Buffalo ones.

Sticky Wings

I went all out and stuffed my face. Cheesy fries, wings, milkshake and of course one needs to try their burger. The place is called Boo Burger.

The whole works. Boo Burger, fries and milkshake!

I could not decide whether to have a beef or the chicken burger. Oh decisions decisions. Haha! I was thrilled with my Chick-A-Boo when I sunk my teeth into it. In all honesty, I knew my other half is going to order the classic beef one. Trust me to ‘test’ it too.

Chick-A-Boo

The Chick-A-Boo’s deep fried chicken breast fillet was crunchy and oh so tasty. The sauce complemented the crispy fillet and the bun very well. (Shhh, it might have been better than a KFC Zinger burger and that is one of my all time guilty pleasures).

My other half tried Boo Burger’s Haystack served with onion strings! Just take a peek at that mouth watering burger. Whoops, I hope you were not too hungry. The thinner onion ‘strings’ were lush and a lovely addition to the burger.

Haystack – with Onion STRINGS

Not only does the burgers get a huge thumbs up from the adults, the child loved it too. Funny enough, when I was pregnant with her .. all I wanted to eat was burgers.

If you have a tenner, scoot along and try Boo Burger. Their high quality food really do speak for themselves and you get lovely service as well. Ps. why not eh? You will get to feast on a burger + fries + drink all for less than a tenner!

Clarks Baby Shoes. Review & Giveaway!

Gosh, how time flies! This was us 6 months ago when we got our little one her very first pair of shoes. It was only natural for us to walk into Clarks because I know they measure their tootsies properly there (length as well as width) and that their shoes come in half sizes as well. At that point in time, it was such a lovely ‘milestone’. (still is) We went in just before she turned one and Clarks made our First Shoes experience very memorable. They even captured the moment, emailed and posted the keepsake photo out to us.

For every

Gorgeous outfit

For every wobbly step

For the journey ahead.

For growing feet in safe hands.

She was very apprehensive about her first pair of shoes but I did tell her that she will grow to LOVE shoes in time and ho and behold its true, she keeps playing with all of her shoes and is very quick to tell us to put them on when she wants to go out. She even tries my shoes!

She outgrew her first pair and we went back to Clarks again for her 2nd pair. It is easy to be loyal to the brand as the quality is great and the range is super fun.

We were thrilled  when we found out that Clarks were going to kindly gift us a pair of shoes of our choice to review. Perfect timing as we found that she has leaped up to a size 4. The most challenging bit was to decide on a style!

It was a really close call between the very trendy and traditional Dabi Leila. They have it in a gorgeous neon yellow too. Its such a classic style, I wished they did it in adult sizes. I would so wear them.

I went with a Coral Patent Little Jam though. Personally, am a huge fan of Mary-Jane style shoes and the meadow flower detailing is adorable. A little someone was well excited when it came in the morning post. We were still in bed and had to try them on immediately 🙂

We have definitely put the shoes to ‘test’ for a few weeks now and they still look brand new. No scuffs! Patent is always a great choice and she seems happy with them. We have been everywhere in her new shoes .. museums, farms, you name it! I went snap-happy as always, do enjoy our little every day moments.

IMG_4450IMG_4372IMG_4373IMG_4473

We are definitely creating lots of happy moments in those shoes 😉

Ps. I am delighted to say that Clarks will be giving you a chance to win a pair of children’s shoes for your little ones on my Instagram page on HERE.

For a bonus entry, do leave a comment on here too. Competition ends on the 20th May 11.59pm. Good luck everyone xxx

We were sponsored the pair of Little Jam Shoes by Clarks, however all thoughts and views are my own.
